6. Use of your personal data
In principle, you can use our website without disclosing your personal data.
We use your personal data on our website and in the services offered only where this is necessary for the functions provided and the use of your data is permitted, or where you have given us your consent to use your personal data.
Below we explain for which purposes we process the data collected from you and what the respective legal basis for this is.
| Purposes of processing | Legal basis |
| All data that you provide to us in the course of individual communication (e.g. by email, fax, telephone or via the online forms provided) through the contact options we have specified, for the purpose of responding to your enquiries. |

| Anonymised data as collected when our website is accessed (cf. section 4), to ensure a smooth connection and convenient use of our website, to evaluate system security and stability, and for further administrative purposes. We never use the collected data for the purpose of drawing conclusions about you as a person. | Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR |
We process your personal data only within the scope of the purposes specified above and only insofar as this is necessary for these purposes.
7. Necessity of providing your personal data
When using our website, you are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide your personal data.
8. Recipients or categories of recipients of your personal data
In principle, we do not pass your data on to third parties, and without your consent we will only transmit it to third parties where we are legally obliged to do so or required to by a court or official decision, or where this is necessary to assert, exercise or defend legal claims and there are no indications of an overriding interest on your part in the data not being disclosed. As an exception to this, we pass your personal data on to the following recipients as needed and for the designated purpose:
- all companies belonging to the Hanseatic Group
- the responsible property management
9. Transfer of your personal data to third countries
Your personal data is processed on servers in Germany. No transfer to third countries takes place.
10. Storage and deletion of your personal data
- Application documents
In the case of an application, we store your personal data for the duration of the application process, i.e. for 6 months. Should we wish to retain the data for longer, we will ask for your consent.
- Statutory retention periods
In addition, we store personal data you have provided insofar as statutory retention periods apply, in particular under the retention periods of Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code (AO), which provides for a storage period of ten years for business letters including emails, and under Section 257 of the German Commercial Code (HGB), which provides in particular for a retention obligation of six years for contracts.
- Storage on the basis of necessity
Otherwise, we delete your data when there are no contractual or statutory retention obligations, or the data is no longer required for the establishment, performance or termination of a contractual or pre-contractual obligation.
